JDP Software was setup in September 2005 by computer industry veterans Geoff Brown and Dave Lee. The firm was originally established in order to provide both full and mid-price PC solutions to the European public within the burgeoning PC utility, design and security sectors. The original idea for the company was conceived by Brown, Lee and the late John Pirie, as all three saw the potential within these market sectors, and all three had previously worked together in professional capacities at Eidos and more recently at Kaboom Studios. 

To date the fledgling Northampton based PC publisher has recently acquired the UK and European distribution rights to PC ranges from US Publisher’s Summitsoft and Stompsoft.
